Atheist ask a Muslim?

An Athiest ask a Muslim : Atheist:  Islam has killed millions. Science saves lives. Muslim:  Science is killing the entire planet with pollution. Atheist:  That’s just bad application of science. Muslim:  That’s just bad application of Islam. [Both Islam & science are good and needed.  No need to create a false dichotomy between the two. They have different scopes and purposes.  Islam encourages beneficial science.] Now let us ponder the following facts just few examples would illustrate the point : Terrorism caused by non Muslims : The total number of military and civilian casualties in World War I were about 40 million: estimates range from 15 to 19 million deaths and about 23 million wounded military personnel, ranking it among the deadliest conflicts in human history. Climate change

As a man looks around himself and looks to his own self and within himself, he finds that there are hundred and one things in shaping and reshaping of which he has no hand, e.g. in determining the climate of the land in which he is born, in determining the time and place he will be born and where ? From an Islamic perspective we are responsible for the choices we make .We are tested by giving the responsibility willingly to look after the earth while we are living on it temporarily  Our species, though selected  to be a caretaker or steward [*khalifah*] on the earth, has been the cause of such corruption and devastation on it that we are in danger of ending life as we know it on our planet if we don’t act responsibly and start implementing environmental solutions . This current rate of climate change cannot be sustained, and the earth’s fine equilibrium [*mīzān*] may soon be lost. Please do your part in conserving and maintaining a safe environment for future generations

Lessons from saurat Yussef

Saurat Yussef  is from the best of stories because of what it relates from the varying phases of life; from trial to tribulation, from being tested to being blessed, from humiliation to grandeur, from slavery to kingship, from division to unity, from grief to joy, from famine to abundance of sustenance, from hardship to ease, and from denial to affirmation. So blessed be the One who revealed it in the best manner possible.
