Throughout the Islamic tradition, if we ponder the Quran and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammed, there is clear evidence that as humans it is our duty to care for this Earth not to pollute it .  It is a shame to see some so called Muslims counties who are polluting nature especially oil producers rather than saving the earth as mandated by our beloved prophet of mercy .  Let us take a closer look how Islam order us to be steward of the planet 🌎. Where is the evidence that we should care? The first piece of evidence comes from the Quran. ‎ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ – 30:41 “Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].”
