Post Ramadan plan

What after Ramadan ?

Praise be to Allah Who has guided His believing servants to do acts of obedience and has made the ways of good and righteous deeds easy for them
The blessed month of Ramadan has already ended. (May Allah accept all our prayer, fasting, du’a, and good deeds , ameen!)
How should we, as Muslims, act now?

Allah says, in surah Baqarah, that Ramadan was prescribed on us in the hope that we could gain taqwa. Did we achieve that goal during fasting on Ramadan?

If you already felt the increase in spirituality and the beauty of faith during Ramadan and you wish to continue having that same spirit even after Ramadan, then you could do so by observing what the the prophet (PBUH) used to do after Ramadan.
Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:
“Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days from Shawwal, it is as if they fasted the entire year.” (Sahih Muslim)

The  actions most beloved to Allah and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) are those good deeds done most consistently

Yes, we might get tired and lazy. We also get busy with life , work and studies. Nevertheless, always turn to Allah. Always ask Him to help you stay steadfast and to help you continue what you have already achieved in Ramadan.

You should know that the sign of the acceptance of a good deed by Allah is that you follow it with another good deed, and the sign of rejecting good deeds by Allah is that you follow it by committing sins.
“..And establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do.”
[Surat Al-Ankabut, verse 45]

In Ramadan, think about the all actions most believers who fasted also did :

  • Prayed in jama’ah/congregation
  • Prayed Qiyaam Al-Layl
  • Fasted. Every day.
  • Gave charity.
  • Reached out to our family.
We can continue all these deeds after Ramadan:
  • Don’t pray 5x a day yet? Start. Improve yourself. Add just one prayer to what you pray now.
  • Don’t pray qiyaam? Start. Pray two short rakahs right after Isha, and gradually make it longer and later and larger in quantity.
  • Don’t fast any extra fasts? Start. Aim for three times a month (the White Days), or every Monday, or every Monday and Thursday.
  • Don’t give sadaqah outside of Ramadan? Start. Give sadaqah, even if only a dollar once a week.
  • Don’t have a good relationship with some of your relatives? Fix it. Talk to your family, especially distant relatives. The best way to keep family ties If someone has wronged you, dont wait for an apology to forgive.Forgive them regardless.
  • Don’t read the Qur’an regularly? Start. Read something every day. Start with just one page a day, but read it with tafseer.
Why 6 days of shawwal?

❝Another benefit is that fasting in Shawwal and Sha’ban is like the regular optional prayers before and after the fardh prayers - for they make up whatever defects and deficiencies took place in the fardh prayers. (...)

And most people have some deficiencies in their obligatory fasts (in Ramadhan), so they are in need of the actions which will make up for those and patch them up. It was for this reason that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade any person to say: ‘I have fasted the entire Ramadhan,’ or ‘I have done all of the night prayers.’❞
- Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali رحمه الله

❝Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.❞
- Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
[Muslim & Ibn Hajah - https://sunnah.com/urn/1271190]

In other narrations a year!

Just like you can’t quit smoking ( smoking is forbidden in Islam because it’s harmful to our bodies ) today and run a marathon tomorrow, you can’t change full-force in a short amount of time it’s best to Syart slow, and improve yourself until you become a much better person than you are.
May Allah allow us to seek the true, long-term benefits of Ramadan and better ourselves as people.

The question : were we Fasting during the day and feasting during the night or were we engaged in praying, supplicating , getting closer to Allah sincerely which will continue trough the whole life .

the supplications of Ibrahim pbuh. The Almighty says,
رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

“my Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.” (Ibrahim: 40).

The danger of disrespecting your parents

The Holy Prophet (S) said. “One who displeases the parents, (it is as if) he has displeased Allah. One who angers both his parents (it is as if) he has angered Allah.” Elsewhere, it is mentioned, “One who hurts his parents, hurts me and one who hurts me has hurt Allah. And the one who hurts Allah is accursed.” Āq al-Walidayn is Not Eligible For Divine Forgiveness The wretchedness of the Āq al-Walidayn is sufficiently evident from the fact that the trustworthy Jibrīl (a.s.) has cursed him and said, “One who is blessed with parents but does not fulfill their (his parent’s) rights will not be forgiven (his sins) by Allah.” 3 When Jibrīl (a.s.) said this, the Holy Prophet (S) uttered, ‘Amen’! DONT disrespect, shout, ignore, annoy, disobey, disregard, disturb our parents. They were looking after us when we were nothing but an easy prey to anything around. They were awake during the nights to make us sleep and feel us secured. We may not remember a thing in the childhoo

Medical, Scientific and religious Reasons for not Eating Pork:

People ask me all the time, Why don't you eat pork? ...Is it for  religious reasons? ...Are you vegetarian? Are you a Muslim or a Jew  ? Do you know that pork taste good ? Honestly, just today I was even asked for sound scientific evidence affirming the danger of eating pork. I will share a few findings with you. Medical and Scientific Reasons for not Eating Pork: This is a direct quote from "What the Bible Says About Healthy Eating" by Dr. Rex Russell. He attended Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, Texas and did his residency at the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minnesota. Let us watch this short video , let the conversation begin: "One reason for God's rule forbidding pork is that the digestive system of a pig is completely different from that of a cow. It is similar to ours, in that the stomach is very acidic. Pigs are gluttonous, never knowing when to stop eating. Their stomach acids become diluted because of the volume of food, allowing all kind

An open letter to Jehovah Witness :

A letter to Jehovah Witness by Rachidm: Dear Jehovah’s Witnesses: I would like to share with you some biblical research based upon my discussions with Jehovah’s Witnesses friends. My wife used to be a Jehovah Witness. When we got married, I, as a  Muslim told her ; "you have the right to practice your religion". I even offered to give her a ride if needed to the Kingdom hall ( Jehovah Witness place of worship ) .  With an open mind, I supported her and told her I would never mind her practicing and preaching her religion. During our first couple years  of blessed and happy marriage together, I was privileged to engage with my parents in law (upon their request) in a comparative study between Islam and their beliefs. Although they were discouraged from dialogue since they believe their way is the only correct way, I always enjoyed a good open discussion about religion in general. “And no bearer of burdens shall bear another’s burden”. (Quran 35:18)

The idea of Jesus dying on the cross is central to the Christian belief.  It represents the conviction that Jesus died for the sins of mankind.  The crucifixion of Jesus is a vital doctrine in Christianity; however Muslims reject it completely.  Before describing what Muslims believe about Jesus’ crucifixion, it may be useful to understand the Islamic reaction to the notion of original sin. When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree in paradise, they were not tempted by a serpent.  It was Satan who deceived and cajoled them, whereupon they exercised their free will and made an error in judgement.  Eve does not bear the burden of this mistake alone.  Together, Adam and Eve realised their disobedience, felt remorse and begged for God’s forgiveness.  God, in his infinite mercy and wisdom, forgave them.  Islam has no concept of original sin; each person bears responsibility for his own deeds. “And no bearer of burdens shall bear another’s burden”. (Quran 35:18) There is no need

THE DOCTRINE OF ORIGINAL SIN

Greetings of peace, This post is an answer to a new friend whom I recently met and respect , a devout Christian  passionate about sharing his religion with others , who challenged me to provide some proofs regarding why Muslims don't accept the doctrine of  original sin; a doctrine ( including the concept of trinity ) that  was  added by the Church at the Council of Nicaea some 325 years after Jesus left the earth.  Notice I say left the earth ( meaning resurected alive by Allah )  and not died yet or crucify as some claims ,  but that is a topic for another day. Back to the doctrine of original sin. Are we born with so called Original sin or born innocent ? Is a Newly Born Baby really a Sinner? Islam Challenges The Concept of Original Sin. Let us found out why ? let's take a look at the following passages from The Bible: (Deuteronomy 24:16)   “The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the father
