Life in this world is a temporary one. The real life is the one of the hereafter. In this respect, the Quran states in Surah Al-Ankabut (The Spider):"What is the life of this world but amusement and play? But verily the home in the Hereafter - that is life indeed, if they but knew" (29:64).
Allaah says, “Everyone shall taste death. And only on the day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the fire and admitted to Paradise he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing).” (Aal-‘Imraan: 175).
Such is the reality of death and what comes after it. Every one of us shall taste it whether poor or rich; healthy or sick, old or young; leader or led and none of us can escape it.
Allaah says, “Whosoever you may be, death will overtake you even if you are in a fortress built up strong and high.” (An-Nisaa: 78).
Dear Believers, Remembering death does not in any way make one’s life loathsome to him; forcing him to sit in his home and leave all means of sustenance. It is rather meant to deter him from committing sins and soften his hard heart. We remember death in order to have good preparation for it and for all that follows it by doing righteous deeds, obeying Allaah and increasing one’s efforts in all acts of worship
Have you ever asked or being asked is there life after death? What happen to the soul once a person die? Is there resurrection or Day of Judgment?
If there is only one thing certain about life, it is that it ends. This instinctively raises a question which we human beings have pondered upon since the beginning of time: What is it that lies beyond death?

The question of whether or not there is life after death does not fall into the field of science, because science is only concerned with the classification and analysis of recorded data. Moreover, man has been busy with scientific enquiries and research, in the modern sense of the term, only for the last few centuries, while he has been familiar with the idea of life after death since time immemorial.
All the prophets of God called their people to worship God and to believe in life after death. They laid so much emphasis on the belief in life after death that even a slight doubt concerning the actuality of it meant denying God, and made all other beliefs meaningless. Prophets of God have come and gone, the epochs of their advent being spread over thousands of years, yet life after death was proclaimed by them all. The very fact that they have all dealt with this metaphysical question so confidently and uniformly goes to prove that the source of their knowledge of what to expect after death was the same: Divine revelation from Allah.
