In light of the recent tragic events that have occurred with the Sikh Temple and Joplin Mosque, ICO is concerned about the security environment of our community. We would like to inform you that, we have arranged a town hall meeting with FBI this friday at 6-30 PM at MAGO. In addition, we are in contact with the local law enforcement and receive periodic updates from them regarding any such concerns. By Allah's Grace and Mercy, we have not encountered anything that should be of concern. However, it is our responsibility in taking essential steps to prepare ourselves for the safety and security of our community.

As Muslims, it is important that we maintain our faith in Allah, but we must also act on that faith by taking the following steps:

1 - Do not travel alone. Travel in GROUPS whether you go for shopping, dining, or anywhere else.

2 - Avoid suspicious people and areas.

3 - Be aware of who is around you.

4 - Do not take unfamiliar routes or routes that are not well-lit and without traffic.

6 - Parents need to take responsibility by keeping your children within reaching distance.

The idea of Jesus dying on the cross is central to the Christian belief. It represents the conviction that Jesus died for the sins of mankind.
