Reaching out to new Muslim Brothers & Sisters By Imam Tariq Rasheed from Masjid Jamaa

Islam spread with Hijra and Nusrah. What it means is that those who embraced Islam were welcomed and helped by those who were Muslims. .

There is a survey that was conducted in USA, that showed that 75% of the new Muslims leave Islam due to some reason. One among them is the feeling of not being welcomed by the Mainstream Muslims. New Muslims feel alienated. They are not socially accepted in the Muslim community. This is wrong. This is unislamic. We need to change it.

In an effort to being "Ansar" ( helpers), a group of Muslims of Orlando at the Islamic Center of Orlando organize a Bi Monthly ( every 2 months ) Lunch. All those brothers and sisters are invited over Lunch who embraced Islam . This will give us all an opportunity to know each others and to creat a bond of Botherhood and sisterhood.
