In Islam, Moses is loved and respected; he is both a Prophet and a Messenger.  God mentions him more than 120 times, and his story ranges across several chapters.  It is the longest and most detailed story of a prophet in the Quran and is discussed in elaborate detail. ...

Coronavirus a test for humanity

Life is a test: “For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.” (Quran 94:5-6) The mercy of Allah is greater than your sins! Repent, ask for forgiveness, from The One whom forgiveness emanates .  The coronavirus pandemic is a grave public health concern but it is also profoundly revealing some truths about society. How we reflect on and react to these truths could determine our future for several generations to come. Prophet Muhammad told us : “For every illness there is a cure” (Sahih Muslim) We are tested as a humanity to find the cure for the illness of the heart  ❤️  and soul (before that of the physical body) by connecting to divine revelation. We need to practice compassion, forgiveness, fairness, justice , charity and looking after the poor and needy . The fact that so many of us are temporarily out of job could perchance open our hearts to reflect on social issues that we may have heard of but never empathized with: unem...

Social media

Everywhere you go you see people glued to their phone , either on Facebook on any other social media checking how many likes and dislikes as if their life depend on it . ‪What people think of you doesn’t really matter as long as you are doing good for the sake of the creator not to impress creation . In this social media age we’re fixated on perceptions especially the youth , it’s all about what people think of us, how they view us, their approval etc. Take a step back. It’s the Almighty’s approval that we need. If He’s pleased with us, nothing else matters!‬ It is in these trying times that it is most important to turn to God, not Netflix. Or social media  By the way the Almighty instructed us to be good to all creation .  Rachidm Islam4mankind

Life is a test

Life is a test , never despair  Allah states that He made this life in order to test man so that every person may be recompensed after death for what he has earned: [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving. [Quran, 67:2] Satan will cause you grief & stress. When you keep having negative thoughts of pain & sorrow, he will worsen your condition. So get a perspective on life. Remember, this world is a mix of ease & hardship, joy & sorrow, hope & pain. Do your best to adopt a positive mindest! A powerful supplication to say for protection of all sorts of  illness: Anas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would say, “O Allah, I seek refuge in you from leprosy, madness, degenerative diseases, and evil sicknesses.” Source: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1554 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ...

Words matters

Words do matter , every single word  we utter may have a lasting memory in someone life or may leave a permanent scar .  Words can reduce a person’s self-esteem in an instant! Watch your words! ‬  Choose your words carefully , wisely and speak kindly and truthfully without intending to hurt anyone feelings. In a world filled by bullying, media misconceptions, sensational news reporting and gossip shows ... it become necessary to carefully choose our words before we speak . After all we will be questioned by every single word we utter , not only the spoken word  but the hidden attention behind it by our creator who has an infinite knowledge of the manifest and the hidden . Speak responsibly and truthfully or remain silent .  Let us now ponder a verse from the Quran about the importance of good speech or good word  Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] i...
