AA,  Three Dua's (supplications) to say in a hurricane اللّهُـمَّ إِنَّـي أَسْـأَلُـكَ خَيْـرَها، وَخَيْـرَ ما فيهـا، وَخَيْـرَ ما اُرْسِلَـتْ  بِه، وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّها، وَشَـرِّ ما فيهـا، وَشَـرِّ ما اُرْسِلَـتْ بِه. Allahumma innee as-aluka khayraha wakhayra ma feeha, wakhayra ma orsilat bih, wa-aAAoothu bika min sharriha, washarri ma feeha washarri ma orsilat bih “O Allah, I ask You for its (the wind’s) goodness, the good within it, and the good it was sent with, and I take refuge with You from its evil, the evil within it, and from the evil it was sent with.” اللَّهُمَّ لا تَقْتُلْنَا بِغَضَبِكَ ، وَلا تُهْلِكْنَا بِعَذَابِكَ ، وَعَافِنَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ Allahumma la taqtulna bi-ghadhabik wa la tuhlikna bi-‘adhaabik wa ‘aafina qabla dhaalik “O Allah, don’t end our lives with Your wrath, and do not make us perish with Your punishment and forgive us before that.” للَّهمَّ حَوَالَيْنَا وَلا عَلَيْنَا ، اللَّهمَّ عَلَى الآكَامِ وَالظِّرَابِ ، وَبُطُوْنِ الأَوْدِيَةِ ، و...

May Allah ( God in Arabic )  protect Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.  Seems like Puerto Rico will get hit with the eye of the storm.  O Allah protect them.  Amin! Ya Allah, give me eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, and a soul that never loses faith. Ameen O Allah protect Florida and the whole US from any storm or calamity Amin During calamities we need to increase our du’aas ( supplications or prayers.  Apart from saying ‘Hasbiyallahu wa Ni’mal Wakeel’ (Allah is Sufficient for me; He Alone is the Best to Protect’) and seeking forgiveness for one’s sins, here are some du’aas to be made in times of windstorms or thunderstorms or hurricanes. ‘O Allah, I ask You for it’s goodness and I take refuge with You from it’s evil.’“O Allah, I ask You for it’s goodness, the good within it, and the good it was sent with, and I take refuge with You from it’s evil, the evil within it, and from the evil it was sent with.” ...

Don't forget to fast tomorrow, Arafat one of the most special days of the year. Try to reconcile ask forgiveness before Arafat  Fasting on Arafah (9th Zilhajjah) Let us all fast this coming Thursday for anyone not in pilgrimage: عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ إِنِّي أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي قَبْلَهُ وَالَّتِي بَعْدَهُ Narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah, I hope from Allah, expiates for the sins of the year before and the year after.” [Sunan Ibn-e-Majah, Chapters on Fasting, Hadith: 1730] Chapter: Fasting on the day of Arafah. ويوم عرفة يوم الحج الأكبر، ويوم مغفرة الذنوب، ويوم العتق من النيران، ولو لم يكن في عشر ذي الحجة إلا يوم عرفة لكفاها ذلك فضلاً،
