Chris Tarantino deployed to Iraq in 2006, his wife began to ask questions about life and death that led her to convert to Islam. “I was really, really scared something was going to happen to him,” said Cristina Tarantino. She started to wonder what happened after death, she said, and how to best live life on earth. She was spending time with her older sister, who had converted to Islam after marrying a Palestinian, and she sought her sister’s guidance. CAIR Reiterates Condemnation of ISIS Violence, Religious Extremism (WASHINGTON, DC, 8/11/2104) -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today reiterated its condemnation of the "un-Islamic and morally repugnant" violence and religious extremism of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
