Jesus , an Islamic perspective by Islam4mankind weekly Radio cohost Imam Saad

Prophet Isa (Jesus) PBUH Radio 01/10/2013 part 1

Allah , God the creator of the heavens , created this vast universe and it`s dwellers for one purpose , and that purpose is more noble and more lofty than most people imagine, people in their nature tend to think that they were put on this earth so that they can live life , amass wealth , eat , drink and enjoy pleasures, and when it is time to go, well it is time to go, at least we would have lived large and enjoyed every moment of it, either neglecting or being oblivious to the reason for their creation.
But the fact of the matter is , we were put on this earth, to worship our creator and to be tested in that worship , are we worthy of the real life that we were created for or are we not.
I mean let`s think about it just using logic, that is it make sense that this universe , and this earth in it's magnitude , beauty and bounties was made to host our species , and for us just to come to it and live a maximum of 60 to a hundred years and then be gone like we never existed , this does not make sense,  or for transgressors and oppressors , the ones that feed of the hardship of others to live , do their evil deeds and die without accountability , or for the righteous to live a clean life and to be a mercy for others around them and live and die without being rewarded for the good that they have done, if this was the case , this life would be in vain.

Allah said:" Did you then think that We had created you in jest, and that you would not be brought back to Us (for account)? * Therefore exalted be Allah, the real King, there is no Diety but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honor!" (Al Muminoon 23-115/116)

Allah said in his glorious book: " I have only created Jinn and men, that they may worship Me * No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me *  For Allah is the one Who gives (all) Sustenance, Lord of Power, Steadfast (for ever)" . (Adaariyaat 51-56/57)

Translation

And so for that worship to take place , the almighty sent many messengers to men kind, he hand picked a little over 120 thousand prophets and messengers to be a mercy for men kind first to reveal to them that they have a lord and a creator and that he requires to be worshiped alone with no partners, and  to teach the people what is the correct and acceptable worship of Allah--their Creator , the Creator of the heavens and the earth.
All the prophets of Allah, the first of whom was Adam and the last of whom is Muhammad, came with one Religion--Islam, one creed--the belief in the Oneness of Allah, they all called their people to monotheism.
They all taught that Allah has the perfect names and  the perfect attributes and that He does not resemble any of His creations. They taught what Allah ordered us to perform what he ordered us to refrain from in this life, meaning the orders and the prohibitions.
They taught there is the Judgment Day in which each one of us will be held accountable for his deeds , and questioned as to whether or not he fulfilled his obligations in this life.
None of them taught their people what contradicts the belief in the Oneness of Allah. Each one of them ordered their followers to believe in the rest of the prophets and messengers.

Prophet Mohammed S L 3 W S said" I am more worthy of Issa ( Jesus ) in this life and the hereafter , they said: why oh prophet of Allah, he said the prophets are brothers , their mothers are many but their creed is the same".

Their Religion is one although their Shari^ah (rules of the Religion) can be different .

This means that Allah with his wisdom gave all the prophets and messengers the same creed of monotheism , but the legislation for each people can be different depending on their era , geographic location and their needs.
So as you have guessed it we are here to honor an other noble and honorable man, one of the best men that walked on the earth , one of the five best messengers of Allah, called Ulul-^Azm, those with the highest status, the ones that were tested the most and the ones who were the most patient, this man will be the savior of men kind from their Biggest test and biggest calamity , the trial and tribulation that will take place before the end of the world , the big test of the antichrist , we are talking about none other the the prophet and messenger of Allah Isa Bnu Mariam (jesus the son of Mary)  .

Translation

Before we start giving any details about Prophet ^Isa PBUH ,we want our dear listeners to know that , the muslims believe in his prophethood, we believe that as all the prophets he was truthful in everything that he conveyed from Allah , and although today we follow the Shari^ah and the way of Prophet Muhammad , Muslims respect, love, and believe in ^Isa and in his prophethood and all the good that he stood for, we also would like our dear listeners to understand that the reason for this show is to give the islamic perspective about his life and his teaching, and to honor him, and not to contradict ,debate nor insult or offend anyone, especially that,  respecting other peoples` religion is duty for every muslim as it was taught to us by the final messenger Mohammed PBUH .

We first start by talking about the conditions of the Israelites right after prophet Musa (moses)  PBUH
The Israelites had settled in the blessed land, Palestine. They ruled for a long time. They had a vast kingdom. Allah, the Almighty chose many prophets from among them. They followed the Holy Book, the Torah. The Prophet Dawood (PBUH) and his son Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him) won great popularity as kings and commanded high respect.
Their followers believed in God and led noble lives. But soon after prophet Sulaiman PBUH died , his kingdom split apart and the golden age of the Israelites was over, and it is always the case when the people that have the truth , the people that have the guidance from almighty God , the people that follow a true prophet of God, when his leadership and guidance is gone , well , so are his teachings and the weak of faith and the hypocrite quickly start appearing , leading the others , astray , leading the others away from the path of Allah, and it has always been the case with the Israelites , whenever they went astray, Allah sent another prophet or messenger their way to bring them back to the straight path, the path of true monotheism , especially that people not only get away from the worship of Allah , but they even start altering and changing the holy scriptures according to their own desires, and that becomes extremely dangerous , because if you alter the scriptures you destroy the lives of millions that come after you , millions that grow up believing wholeheartedly that what you are offering is the absolute truth while it was just a fabrication a dangerous lie , that changes the hereafter of a lot of people.

Translation

As the time passed, they began to pay less attention to the teachings of God. They forgot the Divine favors. They made alterations in the Holy Book according to their own desires. Most of the Israelites adopted indecent ways of life and committed major sins.

At that time the most powerful kingdom in the world was  the kingdom of Romans. They were polytheists and pagans. They did not worship one God and prayed to many idols made of stone.
The Roman society was divided into two factions. The ruling class was very strong and arrogant whereas the ordinary people lived in misery. They were ill-treated as slaves, and  women were treated very poorly and had no rights. The holy land, Palestine,  was ruled by Herod, a cruel king, the people disliked him, they were scared of him. They could not utter a word of complaint against him lest they should be put to sword, and the Israelites had their own society within the rule of the romans a the time.

Background

Who was he?
He was ^Isa, the son of Maryam, the daughter of ^Imran, from the offspring of Israel otherwise know as the prophet of Allah Ya`qoob (Jacob).

MARYAM, THE MOTHER OF ^ISA(Jesus)

Maryam (Mary), the mother of ^Isa, was a pious Muslim woman from the offspring of Israel during the time of Prophet Zakariyya.
Zakariyya was a prophet of Allah revealed to convey to the people to follow the Shari^ah revealed to Prophet Musa. In the Qur'an there is a chapter named Maryam referring to Maryam (Mary), the mother of ^Isa. This chapter and others talks about Maryam: her birth, her story, and the birth of Prophet ^Isa, and other things.

On this chapter Allah starts by talking about another amazing miracle that took place before the miracle birth of prophet Jesus PBUH and it is mentioned in Surah Mariam (19-1/15).

Allah said:" Kaf , Ha, Ya ,`in ,Sad(This is) a mention of the mercy of the Lord to his servant Zakariya * Behold! he called on his Lord in secret, * Praying: my Lord! frale indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head does glisten with grey: but never am I unblest, O my Lord, in my prayer to you! * Now I fear (what) my relatives (and colleagues) (will do) after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from thyself, * (One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! One with whom thou art well pleased! * (His prayer was answered): O Zakariya! we give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have we conferred distinction before * He said: O my Lord! how shall I have a son, when my wife is barren And I have grown quite decrepit From old age? * He said: so (it will be): thy Lord saith, that is easy for me: I did indeed create thee before, When thou hadst been nothing! *  (Zakariya) said: O my Lord! give me a Sign, thy Sign, was the answer, shall speck to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb. * So Zakariya came out To his people from his chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate God's praises In the morning And in the evening * (To his son came the command): O Yahya! take hold Of the Book with might: and We gave him wisdom Even as a youth * and pity (for all creatures) as from us, and purity: He was devout * and kind to his parents, And he was not overbearing or rebellious * so peace on him The day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)! "   Mariam (19-1/15)

Translation

This tremendous miracle that Allah is mentioning in the Ayat that we recited is the one of prophet Zakaria, that reached old age , and his wife was always barren (sterile) , but he still was hoping for a child , so he made supplication to Allah to give him an offspring , and by miracle , his wife that was sterile all her life and had attained old age, an age that makes it impossible to conceive , but with the miracle from Allah that answers the prayers of one of his prophets , the miracle birth of Yahyaa ( otherwise know in the biblical world as John) .
This story was mentioned in the Quran more than once:

Allah said :" So her Lord accepted her with good acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner and put her in the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. He said, "O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?" She said, "It is from Allah . Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account. * So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, "Indeed, Allah gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word from Allah and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous *  He said, "My Lord, how will I have a boy when I have reached old age and my wife is barren?" The angel said, "Such is Allah ; He does what He wills * "He said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He Said, "Your sign is that you will not [be able to] speak to the people for three days except by gesture. And remember your Lord much and exalt [Him with praise] in the evening and the morning."  ( Ali Imran 3-37/41)
Allah also mentioned this story briefly in Surat Al Anbiaa

Allah said : " And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors. * So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive."  (21 -89/90)

Allah also mentioned Zakariah in his list of Honored prophets:

الأنعام الآية 85 قال تعالى: " وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَى وَعِيسَى وَإِلْيَاسَ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ  "

Allah said:"And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias - and all were of the righteous. " (Al An`aam 6-85)

Translation

Why did Allah mention the story of Zakaria, in the beginning of a chapter about Mary and Jesus?, it is to show us the power of Allah, his ability to make anything happen and that others were created and were born miraculously , and that does not make them divine , and also to two stories are related because yahyaa and Isa PBUT are related by blood.
You see , the mother of Mariam, a righteous woman by the name Hannah was the sister of the wife of prophet Zakaria, and she was married to a righteous man by the name of Imran, this man was also mentioned and honored in the Quran, he was the father of Mariam and the grandfather of prophet Isa Jesus PBUH .
This righteous family was honored by Allah as one of the best families of man kind:

قال تعالى: "إِنَّ اللّهَ اصْطَفَى آدَمَ وَنُوحًا وَآلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ * ذُرِّيَّةً بَعْضُهَا مِن بَعْضٍ وَاللّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ "

Allah said:" Indeed, Allah chose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of 'Imran over the rest of the world * Descendants, some of them from others. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.   " (3-33/34)

One day Maryam's mother saw a bird feeding its young and she longed for a baby herself. She made a supplication to Allah to bless her with a child and vowed that she would make him a servant for the Holy House in Jerusalem, dedicated for worship, because she thought the child would be male .
Allah talked about this in the Quran:

Allah said:" [Mention, O Muhammad], when the wife of 'Imran said, "My Lord, indeed I have pledged to You what is in my womb, consecrated [for Your service], so accept this from me. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing * But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah ]." (3-35/36)

Maryam's mother conceived and delivered Maryam when she was an old woman, at an age when women usually can no longer have babies. . Allah answered her supplication and Maryam's mother conceived and delivered a baby girl. She named her "Maryam" and asked Allah to protect her and her offspring from evil.

Since Maryam's father had died, Prophet Zakariyya (who was the husband of Maryam's sister) became Maryam's guardian. From him, Maryam learned the Religion. She grew up as a righteous, pure, and pious Muslim woman worshipping Allah and endeavoring greatly in performing obedience to Him. Before she turned fourteen (14) years old, Maryam was a Siddiqa (a very pious woman with a special status). She became the best of the women in the world as it is mentioned in the Qur'an that :

قال تعالى: وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَى نِسَاء الْعَالَمِينَ * يَا مَرْيَمُ اقْنُتِي لِرَبِّكِ وَاسْجُدِي وَارْكَعِي مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ "

Allah said:" And [mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds * O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]." (Al ^Imran, 42-43).

Birth Of Prophet Isa (PBUH)
Mariam secluded herself one day towards the east to worship Allah, all of a sudden a man appeared to her , it was the angel Gabriel (jibril) , whom Allah had sent to her in the shape of a man. Thinking he was a human who might harm her, she asked refuge with Allah from him.
We have to clarify something here that would explain her behavior , and that is the fact that righteous women like Mary did not mingle with men at all , that is why the minute she saw a man in front of her she was startled she sought refuge in Allah from that situation, similarly Muslim women cover themselves the way mary did and they do not mingle with men at all .

Jibril told Mary, "I am the Messenger of your Lord to you. I was sent to give you a pious child who is pure from sins." Maryam told him, "How would I have a son? I have no husband, and I am not an adulterer or a fornicator." Jibril told her, "Creating a son without a father is an easy matter to Allah. Allah will make him a sign for the people and an indication of the Power of Allah. He will send him as a mercy from Him and an endowment to the one who follows him and believes in him. Creating him is a matter Allah willed and destined, so it will not be blocked or changed."
And these are the Ayat from the Quran that revealed this to us:

Allah said:"  And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east * And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.* She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah ."*He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy."*She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?"* He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.' " (19 -16/21)

Allah said :" [And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ]*He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous."She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah ; He creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is.  " (3 -45/46/47)

Allah said :" And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds. " (Al Anbiyaa 21-91)

Translation

So the angel Jibril blew the soul of ^Isa into Maryam and ^Isa's soul entered into her womb. Maryam became pregnant with ^Isa, peace be upon him.
When the signs of pregnancy became apparent on her, her cousin, Yusuf the Carpenter, was disturbed and did not know how to interpret that matter. If he wanted to accuse her he would remember how pious she was. If he wanted to declare her innocence, he would see the signs of pregnancy. So he decided to open the subject with her. He asked her, "Tell me, would plants grow without seeds? Would trees grow without rainfall? Would there be a child without a male?" To all these questions Maryam said "Yes." Then she asked him, "Did you not know Allah made the plants emerge without seeds the day He created them? Did you not know Allah created the trees the first time without rain? Did you not know Allah created Adam and Hawwa' (Eve) without a father or a mother?" Yusuf knew all these things and when she responded in this way, he felt assured of her innocence and that this was something special given to her by Allah.

When the signs of her pregnancy became clear, Maryam went away from her people. The pain of labor led her to the trunk of a dead palm tree. Out of her shyness from the people, and fearing they would accuse her of having done something ugly, she wished she was dead and not a trace of her could be found.
Jibril called to her, comforting her. He told her Allah made a small river run under her from which she could drink, and should she shake the trunk of the palm tree next to her, so that  green and moist dates would fall down from which she could eat and be nourished. (this by the way is a clear proof that this blessed child was born in the summer time, since the dates are only out in the summer.
Jibril told her when she faces her people with her son to tell anyone who questions her about him that she had made a vow not to talk to any human for that day.
Allah talked about it in the Quran he said:

Allah said:" So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place * And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten.*But he (Jibril) called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream.*And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates* So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among men anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.' " (19-22/26)

That day, Maryam gave birth to her son, ^Isa, peace be upon him, a while later she carried him back to her people, and as she expected, They immediately accused her of having fornicated. In response, Maryam pointed to her son, meaning to tell them to talk to him. They were angered by this and thought she was mocking them by asking them to speak with a baby in the cradle. At this, Allah made ^Isa speak. Allah revealed this in the Quran:

Allah said:" Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented. * O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."* So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?"*[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet* And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive*And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant * And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive." (19-27/31)

Translation

After Baby ^Isa spoke these words in the cradle to defend his mother and to proclaim that he was to one of the messengers of Allah, he did not speak again until he became at an age when children normally begin to speak. ^Isa's speaking from the cradle was a preparation and a sign of his creed and coming prophethood, when he would call the people to believe in Allah and to worship him alone with no partners, true monotheism, and he also proclaimed his servitude to Allah , God the creator of the heavens and the earth since the first words he spoke were, "I am a servant of Allah."

The birth of Prophet Isa (Peace Be Upon Him) became a talk of the town. Herod, the king, got wind of that miracle, He became worried about his throne, as it is the case of all the tyrants they do not like change, they do like things that are unusual or unpredictable , he was afraid that his subject would undermined his authority or neglect his orders.
This misguided tyrant issued orders to kill all the babies under the age of two years,  Allah guided Maryam to migrate to Egypt to seek protection for her baby, she reached Egypt after a tough journey.

They stayed away from home for twelve years, meanwhile Prophet Isa (PBUH) was growing up under the care of his lord and creator and he was given the gift of knowledge and wisdom.
When the ruthless king Herod finally Died taking his place with the other tyrants in the trash can of history,  it was such a relief for the people.

It was collected by Bukhari that  A janaazah passed by and the prophet SL3WS  made the following remark:
Mustareehun oh Mustaraahun minhu
The Sahaaba were mystified by these cryptic words, so they asked the messenger of Allah SL3WS: “O Prophet of Allah! What do these terms mean?” He replied:
Mustareeh is the mumin (the righteous believer) servant who achieves relief and comfort from the hardships and difficulties of this world. And Mustaraahun minhu is the Faajir (rebellious sinner) from whom people, animals, trees and the entire town are relieved .”

So after hearing the good news of the tyrant dying , Maryam picked up her belongings and returned to the holy land, to a city of an-Nasirah.

EARLY LIFE OF PROPHET ^ISA(Jesus)

During their stay in Egypt ^Isa, peace be upon him, studied the Torah and memorized it. He spoke Syriac, the language of the people of Palestine at that time,he also spoke  Aramaic, hebrew the languages of the revelations at that time , He was a pious worshipper of Allah, following the rules of the Torah revealed to Prophet Musa.

Allah said:" And God will teach him the book and wisdom, the law and the gospel * And (appoint him) an messenger to the children of Israel "  (3-48/49)

THE REVELATION OF PROPHETHOOD
Allah sent the Revelation of Prophethood to ^Isa when he was thirty years old. Allah revealed to him new laws which abrogated some of the laws revealed to Prophet Musa. Prophet, and this is by the way the difference between a prophet and a messenger, the prophet always comes to follow the law revealed to the messenger that came before him, such as prophet Zakaria that we saw earlier, he came to follow and implement the law of prophet Musa PBUH.
So Prophet ^Isa PBUH conveyed the revelation to the people and called them to believe in his message.

Prophet ^Isa, like all the prophets of Allah, performed miracles. Allah sent all the prophets with miracles as a proof to their prophethood, so the people would witness, know about them, and believe in their prophethood. Many of Prophet ^Isa's miracles were in curing illnesses, to be a stronger proof of his truthfulness, since the people at his time were famous for being knowledgeable in the field of medicine. Prophet ^Isa cured those with seemingly incurable illnesses, prophet ^Isa cured a man inflicted with leprosy, he put his honorable hand on the face of a man who was born blind and cured his sight, he even brought a man back from the dead with the will and the power of Allah.
Prophet ^Isa had other kinds of miracles also. He formed the shape of a bird from clay and then they would fly away .

Allah talked about all of this in the Quran in the following verses:

Allah said:"  And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. "( 3-49)

unfortunately , so many of the Israelites disbelieved in him and rejected his message after they saw all these miracles , they accused him of being a sorcerer as Allah mentioned in Surat Al Maidah 5-110:

Allah said:"[The Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but obvious magic."  (5-110)

One of the miracles of ^Isa is mentioned in the Qur'an in Surat al-Ma'idah, Verses 112-114, which tells about one time when Prophet ^Isa and his followers reached a place where there was not enough food for all the people with him,  his disciples asked him to supplicate Allah for food which would come down on them from the sky (this is now in the biblical world as " the last supper"). ^Isa made supplication to Allah and the angels brought down the food on a table spread coming down from the heavens before the eyes of the people. Hundreds and hundreds of people ate from that food, and there was no sign the food had diminished in quantity. This miracle increased the belief of his righteous followers .
The blasphemers however, claimed ^Isa had performer sorcery on their eyes.

Allah said:" And [remember] when I inspired to the disciples, "Believe in Me and in My messenger Jesus." They said, "We have believed, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims [in submission to Allah ].* [And remember] when the disciples said, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said," Fear Allah , if you should be believers. *They said, "We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses." *Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allah , our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers.* Allah said, "Indeed, I will sent it down to you, but whoever disbelieves afterwards from among you - then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds." (5-111/115)

After his revelation, Prophet ^Isa lived on earth for about three years. He traveled from place to place calling people to the worship of Allah. He was so detached from the worldly matters that he did not worry that he did not have a house to return to at night. He used to sleep wherever the night would fall on him, whether he was in an open land or in a sheltered place. He wore clothing made out of unwoven wool. He ate from the raw plants of the earth, without desiring to cook them. He did not marry or have children.
Prophet Isa PBUH was an example of the righteous believer that does not have the worldly matters in his heart and mind, all he cared about is the worship of the almighty and calling people to the straight path.

THE INJIL (Gospel)
^Isa received a holy scripture, the Injil, which contained the Shari^ah, (rules of the Religion) revealed to him.
In it there were clear prohibitions , the first of which is to take partners with Allah in worship, what we call in Arabic Ashirk:
قال تعالى:" لقد أوحي إليك وإلى الذين من قبلك لإن أشركت ليحبطن عملك ولتكونن من الخاسرين"

Allah said:"And certainly it has been revealed to you and the ones before you , surely if you ascribe partners with Allah your deeds would be null and void and you will certainly be from the losers" (Azhumar  39-65)
In it was the prohibition of associating partners with Allah. In it was the prohibition to consume the usurious gain (riba), swine meat, blood, and the meat of animals not slaughtered properly. It contained the order to perform the Prayer (with bowing and prostration) . It had the order to fast , and the order to perform taharah the ablution and cleanliness .
Prophet ^Isa came with a Shari^ah that contained making permissible some of the things which had been forbidden upon the children of Israel in the Torah. Although what is called "The Bible" today contains some true stories of Prophet ^Isa, it does not contain exclusively the true Injil which was revealed to prophet Isa PBUH but rather , it is a collection of books like the name suggests , it comes from the word Biblia (a collection of books ).
According to the Online Etymology Dictionary, the word bible is from Latin biblia, traced from the same word through Medieval Latin and Late Latin, as used in the phrase biblia sacra ("holy book" - "In the Latin of the Middle Ages, the neuter plural for Biblia (gen. bibliorum) gradually came to be regarded as a feminine singular noun (biblia, gen. bibliae, in which singular form the word has passed into the languages of the Western world."). This stemmed from the Greek term τὰ βιβλία τὰ ἅγια (ta biblia ta hagia), "the holy books", which derived from βιβλίον (biblion), "paper" or "scroll," the ordinary word for "book", which was originally a diminutive of βύβλος (byblos, "Egyptian papyrus"), possibly so called from the name of the Phoenician port Byblos from whence Egyptian papyrus was exported to Greece.

Biblical scholar Mark Hamilton states that the Greek phrase Ta biblia ("the books") was "an expression Hellenistic Jews used to describe their sacred books several centuries before the time of Jesus," and would have referred to the Septuagint. The Online Etymology Dictionary states, "The Christian scripture was referred to in Greek as Ta Biblia as early as c.223."

Allah talks about the injil in the Quran in many places (and by the way that is where the word evangelic or evangil comes from) :

Allah said:"[The Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel"  (5-110)

Allah said:" And God will teach him the book and wisdom, the law and the gospel * And (appoint him) an messenger to the children of Israel "  (3-48/49)

Allah said:" Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our apostles: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary. And bestowed on him the Gospel " (Al Hadeed 57-27)

THE ASCENSION OF PROPHET ^ISA(Jesus)
When Prophet ^Isa was 33 years old, the blasphemers among the offspring of Israel plotted to kill him, but Allah saved him from their harm.
This comes to us in many narrations:
Ibn Abi Hatim and an-Nasa'iyy narrated from the route of Ibn ^Abbas that he said:
Prophet ^Isa was in session with twelve of his elite companions in a house. He told them that among them would be who would blaspheme in the future. Then he asked them, "Who among you would want to be made to look like me, be killed in my place, and be my companion in Paradise." The youngest among them stood up and said, "Me." Prophet ^Isa told him to sit, then repeated his same question. Again, the same young man said, "Me." Again, Prophet ^Isa told him to sit, then again asked the same question. After the same young man volunteered for the third time, Prophet ^Isa received the Revelation that this young man would be the one who would be made to look like him and killed instead of him. Prophet ^Isa was raised to the heavens from an opening in the ceiling of the house. When the Jews came after Prophet ^Isa, they saw that young man, whom Allah made to look like ^Isa. They took him, thinking he was Prophet ^Isa, and crucified him. Again let me remind my dear listeners that we are giving you the islamic perspective about prophet Isa PBUH , not meant to contradict or offend anyone, but this is an area where our respective faiths do differ .
It should be noted here there are two widespread stories about this matter. In one, it is claimed that one of ^Isa's disciples was paid a great sum of money to lead those Jews to ^Isa,  however Allah made the trader look like ^Isa, so they crucified him instead. In another, it is said that the person killed in place of ^Isa was the leader of the Jews. Both of these stories do not have a lot of validity and Allah knows best.
Allah talks about this is the Quran:

Allah said :" But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah ?" The disciples said," We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him] * Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger Jesus, so register us among the witnesses [to truth]. *And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners * [Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ * And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers. * But as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards, and Allah does not like the wrongdoers.  " (3-52/57)

Allah also spoke about the crucifixion :

Allah said:" And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain * Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.   " (4 157/158)

After Prophet ^Isa was raised to the heavens, his nation lived following his guidance, teaching, and methodology for two hundred (200) years. However, the nation of Prophet ^Isa did not remain steadfast on Islam and monotheism. Three hundred (300) years after Prophet ^Isa was raised to the heavens , the followers the ones who had perverted the teachings of Prophet ^Isa became very numerous, and those who were truly following the Religion of Islam were few and weak. After some five hundred (500) years, almost none of the believing Muslims of ^Isa's nation were left.
By the time Prophet Muhammad received revelations, very few  of the followers of Isa PBUH were on the true monotheism ,so prophet Mohammed was the only one,  he was the only Muslim worshipping only Allah from among the people of the earth.
We should also mention that prophet Isa PBUH prophesied the coming of prophet Mohammed.
We find this both in the Quran and the bible:

Allah said:" And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."

Al-Bukhari and Muslim reported from Abu Hurairah (Radiya Allahu Anhu) that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "As soon as any new born comes to this life Satan strikes him and as a result she/he yells because of Satan's strike except Mary and her son" . Al-Bukhari and Muslim also reported that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Whoever acknowledges that there is no God but Allah, The One and The Only Who has no partners, that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, that Isa (Alaihi Salaam) is the servant of Allah and His Messenger and His Word which he bestowed on Maryam and a spirit created by Him. He should also believe in Paradise and Hell. Allah will make any such person enter Paradise no matter what he did" .

Miracles Of Prophet Isa
As it is the case with the messengers of Allah , they were endowed and supported by miracles from Allah, prophet Musa had the staff that he split the red sea with and many other miracles , similarly prophet Isa (Jesus) PBUH had many miracles, the first of which we mentioned earlier, the fact that he spoke in the cradle to defend his mother:

Prophet Isa (Jesus) PBUH also was given the ability to perform other miracles , especially that a lot of the people of his tribe did not believe in him, they did not get passed the accusation that they directed towards his blessed mother, they made it a motive to disbelieve, since people by nature , they do not like the truth when it comes to them, the truth is heavy, the truth is a responsibility , the truth gets the unrighteous out of their comfort zone, therefore they would look for any excuses to reject it , at this was the case with the people of prophet Isa (Jesus) PBUH , so the only other way to make believers out of them is to performs extraordinary acts in front of their eyes and prophet Isa (Jesus) did just that.

His Miracles:
1.he was born with no father and from a virgin mother.
2.he could speak whilst in the cradle to defend his mum from accusations of adultery and also to bring Allah`s message to the people.
3.he created a bird from mud and gave life to it via help from allah SWT of course.
4.he could cure the leper and blind
5.he could resurrect the dead
6.he walked on water
7.The table that came down from the heavens with the will of Allah.
8. He probably has the longest lifespan(longer than nuh pbuh (950-1000years) as he is not officially dead but risen up to a waiting place until allah appoints a time for him to descend back down to earth

Allah talks about them in the Quran:

MIRACLE OF THE BIRD
Isa (Jesus) was preaching to a crowd one day and he brought to their attention the pivotal importance of belief as the basis of spiritual life.  He talked about the true meaning of the belief in Allah (swt) and what this belief instructed to the believers.  He spoke of the ethics and morals of religion as well as how important it is to be good and do good.
People listened although they did not appear to give serious thought or have questions for what was preached.  Prophet Isa wanted to greatly impress them so they would accept and follow the truth of his Message.
Prophet Isa (Jesus) was in the center of a large crowd.  The crowd grew  anxious in anticipation, all silently looking and standing still with excitement.  Prophet Isa took some clay from the ground and slowly sculptured it into a bird.  The clay bird had a small head, a thin neck, and a round body.  When Prophet Isa was finished his hands were covered with the muddy clay.  He put the clay bird in one of his hands.  The curiosity of the crowd climaxed as everyone looked puzzled, not knowing what to make of it.   He then blew on the clay bird and by Allah's power, and to the amazement of all, the clay bird was immediately transformed into a real, living bird!  The bird flew away as the crowd watched in amazement.  The people could hardly believe it but they saw with their own eyes, and they rubbed their eyes to see if that was true.  And as if by reflex, they talked to each other in puzzlement, "Has anyone seen such a sight? Isn't this amazing? It must be a miracle!!"
Prophet Isa took this opportunity and proclaimed, "See how marvelous the power of Allah is!?  Do you believe me now!?"  The crowd rushed to him repeating their belief, and how amazing the miracle was.
As everyone hurried home they talked incessantly about the miracle of the bird.  The village was struck with astonishment as everyone rushed to meet Prophet Isa hoping to see more miracles.  They wanted to hear Prophet Isa talk and preach, they wanted to see more of him.  However, those who didn't see the miracle of the bird thought it was magic and they wanted to see for themselves just to be sure.

HEALING THE SICK
Prophet Isa (Jesus) traveled from one town to another.  He was surrounded by his 12 disciples who were his ardent supporters.  Prophet Isa preached and preached, his central theme being faith in Allah and how necessary it was to be good through applying Allah's commands.  People listened more attentively by now since the story of the bird's miracle spread from one area to the other.  More was needed however, since there were still many people in different towns who needed to be impressed.  People also started to expect more from Prophet Isa, wanting to see the supernatural in order to believe.
Prophet Isa was in a new town preaching as usual.  He was surrounded by many people, mostly common, ordinary people, who listened to him.  These common people included the curious, the poor, and the hopefuls.  They saw from a distance a man who was walking in pain toward them, as if his sickness had disabled him.  He was suffering from a grave sickness, a very disabling one to say the least.  The sickness was leprosy.  With such a sickness the man was very disfigured, with lumps and ulcers on his face to such an extent he was hardly recognizable.  His arms were stiff, fingers crooked and disfigured, and he had even lost some toes.  It was so bad that he couldn't even feel through his skin completely unable to feel the pain or sense it!
This sickness had been with him for years and it grew to such an extent that many people were scared to stand next to him or even talk to him.  With difficulty the man approached the crowd, limping until he was face to face with Prophet Isa.  The two silently gazed at each other.
Prophet Isa looked at this man with pity, his heart bleeding for him.  Then, with a weak voice, the sick man asked, "Cure me, please cure me!  Oh Jesus, Prophet of God, ask Allah to cure me! Please, please, do that for me."
The crowd was silent and motionless as they waited in anticipation.  They were hoping to see something happen while Isa (Jesus), the Prophet of God, was on his knees praying.  Isa prayed very hard, asking Allah Almighty to invoke His powers and to help heel the man.  After a short while, Prophet Isa (Jesus) received the Power from God, he felt it within him; he stood up and put his hand on the sick man's shoulders and said a few words.
Within a few minutes, and in front of their eyes, they saw the disfigured man change completely!  The man's face began to clear, as the lumps disappeared!  His crippled hands and fingers changed to normal, and the local numbness disappeared.  For the first time the man could feel as he shouted in excitement!  To the surprise of all, from the curious and expecting to believers and non-believers, to educated and illiterate, they all witnessed it, none could deny it!  They were speechless, amazed, and confounded to say the least.
The crowd was wide-eyed with wonderment and cried with excitement.  They shouted to each other, "A miracle, what a miracle!"  They felt happy, excited, and sure.  Each witness remembered a sick friend or relative who was in need of a cure, a fast easy cure.  They wanted to take advantage of Prophet Isa, to utilize him, forgetting that the miracles were to jolt them into belief and to adhere to the teachings of Prophet Isa (Jesus).
People constantly talked and talked of how Prophet Isa, Christ, the good teacher, performed marvelous miracles in support of his teachings.  His reputation quickly spread, and people were ever more divided between believer and disbeliever since for many it meant loss of jobs, yet for others it meant salvation , we have to remember that his people were famous for their knowledge in the field of early time medicine .

THE BLIND MAN WHO COULD NOT TALK:
Prophet Isa (Jesus) kept visiting many areas and preached.  He was affirming the essence and substance of the Torah, without the blemishes that some of the Jews had added to it.  Prophet Isa was popular with some gatherings and not so popular with others.  More was needed though, to affirm the Message with which Allah had entrusted in him.  Prophet Isa, Christ as called by now (Al-Maseeh, the Messiah) was walking through the streets of a town with his disciples and others by his side.  Many people were gathering as the area was a shopping area.  The street was narrow, winding about, but here and there you could see an open space.
Not too far away they spotted a man standing, lonely and forlorn.  He looked tired, frail, and pathetic.  He had been blind for a long time and could not talk either for he was mute.  For him it was an extremely difficult life.  Even so he had heard that the new Prophet cured the leper through invoking the Power he received from the Almighty.
Prophet Isa saw the pathetic man standing alone, not seeing or even able to speak.  His heart bled for the blind man since the man could not even call for help.  Prophet Isa was a man of love and he loved the poor and the disadvantaged and those who needed help.  Prophet Isa, therefore, stood still looking at the blind man and people watched in curiosity.  They felt something special was about to happen.  The crowd was very large, and they waited breathlessly.  Isa (Al-Maseeh, the Messiah) prayed to Allah Almighty, asking for the Power, the special power Allah makes available to him, to help the blind and mute man.  There were minutes of tension that passed with anticipation.  Prophet Isa moved toward the blind man and touched his shoulder.  People were quiet, their hearts pounding hard as they listened intently.  "Will a miracle be performed?" they asked themselves.
Sure enough, they saw the man's eyes open and looking normal; he could now see!  He jumped with joy and excitement shouting over and over again, "I can see! I can talk!"  He touched everything as if disbelieving himself!  He knelt in deep gratitude.  "I can see people," and excitedly he shouted, "I can see shops and I can see the blue skies! Oh how wonderful! I can see everything!"  He could talk too, and even shout, and say anything he wanted!
The crowd, struck with awe, could hardly believe their eyes.  Excitement in the air was as high as could be.  Each person was incessantly talking to others saying that a miracle, by the Power of God, was just performed through Prophet Isa (Jesus)!    The people's faith in the teachings of Prophet Isa was augmented.  Miracles in those times were the perfect tool to make people believe.
The reputation of the works of Prophet Isa was spreading fast, even the Romans could not ignore it.  The Jewish Rabbinical authorities were very much challenged.  Naturally, they vehemently denied the many claims of so many eye witnesses, giving various excuses.  Numerous Jews, therefore, refused to believe in Jesus' teachings.
Isa (Jesus) could not perform a Miracle on demand, therefore one of the excuses the Jews gave was that when they asked Jesus (Al-Maseeh, the Messiah) to perform a miracle he could not do so, since those miracles , all depended on the will and the power of Allah.
In spite of that, the witnessing crowds grew bigger and the reputation and call for more miracles became intense.  Focusing attention on the real meaning of the Torah, the essence of the teachings of Allah, the Creator, was becoming better known.  It brought another challenge to the Jewish leaders as an increasing number of them began to believe.

RAISING FROM THE DEAD
Prophet Isa not only raised one person from the dead but a few.  One that stands out, however, was that of Lazarus.  The news of his death stunned his sisters, Mary and Martha.  They mourned, cried, and grieved over his death, and felt very, very sad.  They rushed to where Prophet Isa was and pleaded with him to attend Lazarus .
Friends and relatives were around, consoling and comforting both Martha as well as other relatives.  At the scene, the crowd was large and many people talked with low voices out of respect to the dead.  Isa the Prophet, along with a few in his company, headed toward the group.  Silence prevailed, as everyone expected the Prophet to do what he could.  They had already witnessed the Prophet perform many miracles with the Power of God.  Prophet Isa knew that many had already witnessed the previous miracles.  But this time a special miracle and more astonishing than ever was needed, it had to involve a dead man.
Lazarus was dead for about three days, and his body was stiff with rigor-mortis.  He was shrouded with a white sheet and was about ready to be buried.  Prophet Jesus entered the room and approached the dead man.  He knelt by Lazarus and started to pray to Allah Almighty to make the marvelous  miracle happen , and within a short time he stood up, and with authority ordered Lazarus to be back to life as he was before!
What people witnessed was the impossible to believe.  The crowd was thunderstruck and awed by the scene—the dead Lazarus began to stir and then he slowly rose alive again!  It looked as if he had never died.  What a scene!  How difficult to believe, but they saw it with their own eyes, they were the witnesses.
These miracles, though coming at strategic moments, were an essential means to make people believe and be attached to the teachings of Prophet Isa.  They called him Christ, meaning the Good Teacher, or the Anointed one, since his teachings affirmed and explained the essence of the Torah as Jesus said many times.
Prophet Isa was the greatest challenge to the Jews of that time.  A great number of them believed in him and his teachings.  The performance of the miracles added zest to those teachings and confirmed the teachings as well.

Translation

HIS TEACHINGS WERE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE MIRACLES
The miracles were merely a means to impress upon the people that Jesus was a mighty Prophet.  It was to prove too, that the Miracles performed were only through the Power of God as Isa had repeatedly said.  Allah (swt) gave Prophet Isa the capacity to utilize the Power because the people of the time needed to see proof before they would believe.
The teachings of Prophet Isa were the very essence and substance of the Torah; they were far more important than any and all miracles combined.
Prophet Isa reminded people of the genuine teachings of Prophet Musa and other Prophets since those teachings were greatly changed by different priests and clergymen over time.  Therefore, Prophet Isa's teachings were essential and very necessary.
Prophet Isa also had his own specific Revelations and his specific teachings, through the new holly scriptures that he had received , a new revelation called Al Injil, with specific teachings pertaining to his people.
He taught the belief in Allah (swt) and His Oneness, and called the people to pray to God the Lord and not material endeavors.  He taught them to strengthen their faith and that through faith they should be righteous.  He asked people to be kind, nice, loving, and forgiving.  He asked them not to talk behind anyone's back and not to hurt others.  He asked people also to fight evil.
He reminded people not to cheat but to be honest.
He asked them not to steal, be mean or troublesome.
He preached goodness in its various forms and urged the faithful to be people of integrity, decency, and good morals.
Prophet Isa had twelve disciples, his trusted helpers, and they were good men whom the Holy Quran calls True Muslims.  The disciples helped continue the spread of Allah's Message during the life of Isa and afterwards.

Crucifixion Of Prophet Isa (Jesus) (PBUH)

The preaching work by Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) lasted for three years. A considerable number of people began to follow him. They adopted good ways of life. The Romans and the Jews were much worried because of the prevailing influence of Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) and his disciples. They feared lest they should rise in revolt against them. They decided Isa, the Prophet to be crucified.

There was a large gathering and the soldiers were standing all around where Isa, the Prophet was supposed to be crucified. Even some of those people who were against his teachings  did not agree with the idea of crucifying him.

Prophet Isa PBUH asked one of his disciples to take his place and bare his resemblance and be rewarded with his companionship in paradise, only a young men volunteered , the Prophet asked him to sit down and repeated the request , and every time the same young man volunteered , and it was meant to be , and decreed by Allah, the young sacrificed himself and took the likeness of prophet Isa PBUH in order to be taken in his stead, and great example of a young believer that sacrifices himself to save the prophet of Allah .

According to the Quran and Hadith ,most of the teachings of Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) are still in the Gospel but some of the things written in the Bible are not in original form. They were changed and some additions as well as subtractions have been made in his teachings.

BIBLE PROPHECIES ABOUT THE ADVENT OF MUHAMMAD

Abraham is widely regarded as the Patriarch of monotheism and the common father of the Jews, Christians and Muslims. Through His second son, Isaac, came all Israelite prophets including such towering figures as Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, Solomon and Jesus. May peace and blessings be upon them all. The advent of these great prophets was in partial fulfillment of God's promises to bless the nations of earth through the descendants of Abraham (Genesis12:2-3).

Genesis 17:4:
2-“I will make you into a great nation,
    and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3- I will bless those who bless you,
    and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
    will be blessed through you.”

Such fulfillment is wholeheartedly accepted by Muslims whose faith considers the belief in and respect of all prophets an article of faith.

BLESSINGS OF ISHMAEL AND ISAAC

Was the first born son of Abraham (Ishmael) and his descendants included in God's covenant and promise? A few verses from the Bible may help shed some light on this question;

1) Genesis 12:2-3 speaks of God's promise to Abraham and his descendants before any child was born to him.

2) Genesis 17:4 reiterates God's promise after the birth of Ishmael and before the birth of Isaac.
Genesis 17:4
4- As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

3) In Genesis, ch. 21. Isaac is specifically blessed but Ishmael was also specifically blessed and promised by God to become "a great nation" especially in Genesis 21:13, 18.
Genesis 21:13, 18
13- I will make the son of the slave into a nation also, because he is your offspring.”

14- Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

15- When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes.
16- Then she went off and sat down about a bowshot away, for she thought, “I cannot watch the boy die.” And as she sat there, she[a] began to sob.

17- God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there.
18 - Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”

Translation

4) According to Deuteronomy 21:15-17 the traditional rights and privileges of the first born son are not to be affected by the social status of his mother (being a "free" woman such as Sarah, Isaac's mother, or a "Bondwoman" such as Hagar, Ishmael's mother). This is only consistent with the moral and humanitarian principles of all revealed faiths.

Deuteronomy 21:15-17:
The Right of the Firstborn
15- If a man has two wives, and he loves one but not the other, and both bear him sons but the firstborn is the son of the wife he does not love
16- when he wills his property to his sons, he must not give the rights of the firstborn to the son of the wife he loves in preference to his actual firstborn, the son of the wife he does not love.
17- He must acknowledge the son of his unloved wife as the firstborn by giving him a double share of all he has. That son is the first sign of his father’s strength. The right of the firstborn belongs to him.

5) The full legitimacy of Ishmael as Abraham's son and "seed" and the full legitimacy of his mother, Hagar, as Abraham's wife are clearly stated in Genesis 21:13 and 16:3. After Jesus, the last Israelite messenger and prophet, it was time that God's promise to bless Ishmael and his descendants be fulfilled. Less than 600years after Jesus, came the last messenger of God, Muhammad, from the progeny of Abraham through Ishmael. God's blessing of both of the main branches of Abraham's family tree was now fullfilled. But are there additional corroborating evidence that the Bible did in fact foretell the advent of prophet Muhammad?
 Genesis 21:13:
13-I will make the son of the slave into a nation also, because he is your offspring.”
Genesis 16:3:
3- So after Abram had been living in Canaan ten years, Sarai his wife took her Egyptian slave Hagar and gave her to her husband to be his wife.
So that claim that Abraham just laid with Hagar to have a child is absolutely false, as see can see quoted by the bible it`s self.

MUHAMMAD:
The Prophet Like Unto Moses

Long time after Abraham, God's promise to send the long-awaited Messenger was repeated this time in Moses' words.
In Deuteronomy 18:18, Moses spoke of the prophet to be sent by God who is:

In Deuteronomy 18:18:
18- I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him.

1) From among the Israelite's "brethren", a reference to their Ishmaelite cousins as Ishmael was the other son of Abraham who was explicitly promised to become a "great nation".

2) A prophet like unto Moses. There were hardly any two prophets ,who were so much alike as Moses and Muhammad. Both were given comprehensive law code of life, both encountered their enemies and were victors in miraculous ways, both were accepted as prophets/statesmen and both migrated following conspiracies to assassinate them. Analogies between Moses and Jesus overlooks not only the above similarities but other crucial ones as well (e.g. the natural birth, family life and death of Moses and Muhammad but not of Jesus, who was regarded by His followers as the Son of God and not exclusively a messenger of God, as Moses and Muhammad were and as Muslim belief Jesus was).

THE AWAITED PROPHET WAS TO COME FROM ARABIA

Deuteronomy 33:1-2 combines references to Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. It speaks of God (i.e. God's revelation) coming from Sinai, rising from Seir (probably the village of Sa'ir near Jerusalem) and shining forth from Paran. According to Genesis 21:21, the wilderness of Paran was the place where Ishmael settled (i.e. Arabia, specifically Mecca).
Deuteronomy 33:1-2:
33- This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the Israelites before his death
2 He said:
The Lord came from Sinai
    and dawned over them from Seir;
he shone forth from Mount Paran.
He came with[a] myriads of holy ones
from the south, from his mountain slopes.
Genesis 21:21:
21- While he was living in the Desert of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from Egypt

Indeed the King James version of the Bible mentions the pilgrims passing through the valley of Ba'ca (another name of Mecca) in Psalms 84:4-6.
Psalms 84:4-6:
4- Blessed are those who dwell in your house;
    they are ever praising you.
5- Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
6 As they pass through the Valley of Baka,
    they make it a place of springs;
the autumn rains also cover it with pools.

Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the beloved of God. His elect and messenger who will bring down a law to be awaited in the isles and who "shall not fail nor be discouraged till he have set judgement on earth." Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Ke'dar. Who is Ke'dar? According to Genesis 25:13, Ke'dar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of prophet Muhammad.

Isaiah 42:1-13:
The Servant of the Lord

42 “Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
    my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations.
2- He will not shout or cry out,
or raise his voice in the streets.
3- A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4-     he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.
In his teaching the islands will put their hope.”
5- This is what God the Lord says—
the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out,
who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it,
who gives breath to its people,
and life to those who walk on it:
6- “I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;
I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light for the Gentiles,
7- to open eyes that are blind,
    to free captives from prison
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
8- “I am the Lord; that is my name!
I will not yield my glory to another
    or my praise to idols.
9- See, the former things have taken place,
    and new things I declare;
before they spring into being
    I announce them to you.”
Song of Praise to the Lord

10- Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
you islands, and all who live in them.
11- Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices;
let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice.
Let the people of Sela sing for joy;
let them shout from the mountaintops.
12- Let them give glory to the Lord
and proclaim his praise in the islands.
13- The Lord will march out like a champion,
    like a warrior he will stir up his zeal;
with a shout he will raise the battle cry
and will triumph over his enemies.
Who is Ke'dar?
Genesis 25:13:
13 These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, listed in the order of their birth: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

MUHAMMAD'S MIGRATION FROM MECCA TO MEDINA:
PROPHESIED IN THE BIBLE?

Habakkuk 3:3 speaks of God (God's help) coming from Te'man (an Oasis North of Medina according to J. Hasting's Dictionary of the Bible), and the holy one (coming) from Paran. That holy one who under persecution migrated from Paran (Mecca) to be received enthusiastically in Medina was none but prophet Muhammad.
Indeed the incident of the migration of the prophet and his persecuted followers is vividly described in Isaiah 21:13-17. That section foretold as well about the battle of Badr in which the few ill-armed faithful miraculously defeated the "mighty" men of Ke'dar, who sought to destroy Islam and intimidate their own folks who turned -to Islam.

Habakkuk 3:3:
3- God came from Teman,
the Holy One from Mount Paran.[a]
His glory covered the heavens
and his praise filled the earth.

Isaiah 21:13-17:
A Prophecy Against Arabia
13- A prophecy against Arabia:
You caravans of Dedanites,
who camp in the thickets of Arabia,
14-  bring water for the thirsty;
you who live in Tema,
    bring food for the fugitives.
15- They flee from the sword,
    from the drawn sword,
from the bent bow
and from the heat of battle.
16- This is what the Lord says to me: “Within one year, as a servant bound by contract would count it, all the splendor of Kedar will come to an end.
17 -The survivors of the archers, the warriors of Kedar, will be few.” The Lord, the God of Israel, has spoken.

THE QUR'AN (KORAN) FORETOLD IN THE BIBLE?

For twenty-three years, God's words (the Qur'an) were truly put into Muhammad's mouth. He was not the "author" of the Qur'an. The Qur'an was dictated to him by Angel Gabriel who asked Muhammad to simply repeat the words of the Qur'an as he heard them. These words were then committed to memory and to writing by those who hear them during Muhammad's life time and under his supervision.

Was it a coincidence that the prophet "like unto Moses" from the "brethren" of the Israelites (i.e. from the lshmaelites) was also described as one in whose mouth God will put his words and that he will speak in the name of God, (Deuteronomy 18:18-20). Was it also a coincidence the "Paraclete" that Jesus foretold to come after Him was described as one who "shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak (John 16:13)

Deuteronomy 18:18-20:
18- I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. 19 I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name. 20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.”

John 16:13:
13- But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Was it another coincidence that Isaiah ties between the messenger connected with Ke'dar and a new song (a scripture in a new language) to be sang unto the Lord (Isaiah 42:10-11). More explicitly, prophesies Isaiah "For with stammering lips, and another tongue, will he speak to this people" (Isaiah 28:11). This latter verse correctly describes the "stammering lips" of Prophet Muhammad reflecting the state of tension and concentration he went through at the time of revelation. Another related point is that the Qur'an was revealed in piece-meals over a span of twenty three years. It is interesting to compare this with Isaiah 28:10 which speaks of the same thing.

Isaiah 42:10-11:
Song of Praise to the Lord
10- Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them.
11- Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops.

THAT PROPHET- PARACLETE- MUHAMMAD

Up to the time of Jesus (peace be upon him), the Israelites were still waiting for that prophet like unto Moses prophesied in Deuteronomy 18:18. When John the Baptist came, they asked him if he was Christ and he said "no". They asked him if he was Elias and he said "no". Then, in apparent reference to Deuteronomy 18:18, they asked him "Art thou that Prophet" and he answered, "no". (John 1: 1 9-2 1).

In the Gospel according to John (Chapters 14, 15, 16) Jesus spoke of the "Paraclete" or comforter who will come after him, who will be sent by Father as another Paraclete, who will teach new things which the contemporaries of Jesus could not bear. While the Paraclete is described as the spirit of truth, (whose meaning resemble Muhammad's famous title Al-Amin, the trustworthy), he is identified in one verse as the Holy Ghost (John 14:26). Such a designation is however inconsistent with the profile of that Paraclete. In the words of the Dictionary of the Bible, (Ed. J. Mackenzie) "These items, it must be admitted do not give an entirely coherent picture."

John 14:15-16-17:
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth

John 14: 25-26
25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Indeed history tells us that many early Christians understood the Paraclete or the spirit of truth to be a man and not a spirit. This might explain the followings who responded to some who claimed, without meeting the criteria stipulated by Jesus, to be the awaited "Paraciete", Comforter, prince of the world….

John 14:28-29-30-31
28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. 30 I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, 31 but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.

It was Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who was the Paraclete, Comforter, helper, admonisher sent by God after Jesus. He testified of Jesus, taught new things which could not be borne at Jesus' time, he spoke what he heard (revelation), he dwells with the believers (through his well-preserved teachings). Such teachings will remain forever because he was the last messenger of God, the only Universal Messenger to unite the whole of humanity under God and on the path of PRESERVED truth. He told of many things to come which "came to pass" in the minutest detail meeting, the criterion given by Moses to distinguish between the true prophet and the false prophets (Deuteronomy 18:22). He did reprove the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgement (John 16:8-11)

Deuteronomy 18:22
22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.

John 16:8-11
8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment.

And indeed prophet Mohammed told about all those things.

WAS THE SHIFT OF RELIGIOUS LEADERSHIP PROPHESIED?

Following the rejection of the last Israelite prophet, Jesus, it was about time that God's promise to make Ishmael a great nation be fulfilled (Genesis 21:13, 18)

Genesis 21:13-18
13 I will make the son of the slave into a nation also, because he is your offspring.”

14 Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

15 When the water in the skin was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes. 16 Then she went off and sat down about a bowshot away, for she thought, “I cannot watch the boy die.” And as she sat there, she[a] began to sob.

17 God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there. 18 Lift the boy up and take him by the hand, for I will make him into a great nation.”.

In Matthew 21:19-21, Jesus spoke of the fruitless fig tree (A Biblical symbol of prophetic heritage) to be cleared after being given a last chance of three years (the duration of Jesus' ministry) to give fruit.
In a later verse in the same chapter, Jesus said: "Therefore, say I unto you, The Kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruit thereof" (Matthew 21:43).
That nation of Ishmael's descendants (the rejected stone in Matthew 21:42)
which was victorious against all super-powers of its time as prophesied by Jesus:

Matthew 21:42
42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:

“‘The stone the builders rejected
    has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes?

Matthew 21:44
"And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder" (Matthew 21:44).

OUT OF CONTEXT COINCIDENCE?

Is it possible that the numerous prophecies cited here are all individually and combined out of context misinterpretations? Is the opposite true, that such infrequently studied verses fit together consistently and clearly point to the advent of the man who changed the course of human history, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Is it reasonable to conclude that all these prophecies, appearing in different books of the Bible and spoken by various prophets at different times were all coincidence? If this is so here is another strange "coincidence"!

One of the signs of the prophet to come from Paran (Mecca) is that he will come with "ten thousands of saints" (Deuteronomy 33:2 KJV).
That was the number of faithful who accompanied Prophet Muhammad to Paran (Mecca) in his victorious, bloodless return to his birthplace to destroy the remaining symbols of idolatry in the Ka'bah.

Says God as quoted by Moses:
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. (Deuteronomy 18:19)

Songs 5:16
King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
"His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem."

PROPHET ^ISA'S(Jesus) DESCENT TO EARTH

Prophet ^Isa, peace be upon him, is still alive--in the second sky--worshipping Allah. He will descend to earth before the Day of Judgment and his descent will be one of the great signs of the nearing of that Day. Prophet Muhammad informed us ^Isa will descend to earth at a place on the eastern side of Damascus, with his hands on the wings of two angels. He will meet a group of Muslims getting ready to perform the Prayer, with the Mahdiyy as their Imam. The Mahdiyy will ask Prophet ^Isa to lead them in that prayer, however, ^Isa will ask the Mahdiyy to stand imam for them--as a sign that Prophet ^Isa will rule with the rules revealed to Prophet Muhammad.."

After he descends, Prophet ^Isa will rule the earth with the Shari^ah of Prophet Muhammad, the Shari^ah Muslims are ordered to follow until the Day of Judgment. He will break the cross, kill the pig, and abolish the jizyah (compulsory payment by the People of the Book to the Muslim state), because in the rules of Prophet Muhammad the jizyah is only applicable until the descent of ^Isa. He will kill the Dajjal, the ugly, evil blasphemer who will claim to be God, and who misleads many people to blaspheme. Prophet ^Isa will perform Hajj and travel to visit the grave of the Prophet to salute him, and to greet him by saying, "As-salamu ^alaykum ya rasulAllah", as narrated by Abu Dawud at-Tayalisiyy and others.

During his time, the people of Ya'juj and Ma'juj  (Gog and Magog) will appear and cause great destruction to the earth and devastation to the Muslims. Prophet ^Isa will take the believers to Mount at-Tur to supplicate Allah there to relieve them from these people. Allah will answer their du^a' and destroy all the people of Ya'juj and Ma'juj.
After that, Prophet ^Isa will rule the Muslims and there will be a time when peace, comfort, and safety will prevail. Prophet ^Isa will live for forty (40) years on earth after he descends. He will marry and have children. Then, he will die and be buried. ^Adullah Ibn Salam said, "It is written in the original Torah that Prophet ^Isa will be buried next to Prophet Muhammad" (in the chamber of Lady ^A'ishah.)

CONCLUSION

Prophet ^Isa was a messenger of Allah revealed to convey to the people the religion of Islam and to call them to worship Allah, their Creator. Muslims believe in his prophethood and in his truthfulness in conveying that message. Prophet ^Isa is alive now, living in the second heaven, worshipping Allah. He will return to earth before the Day of Judgment and will rule the Muslims with the Shari^ah of Prophet Muhammad.

Profit Isa Jesus peace be upon him has the tittle of savior because he will save men kind from the most terrible calamity that will befall them, the calamity of Addajaal otherwise known the antichrist , may the peace and blessings of Allah be on one of his mightiest messengers prophet Isa (Jesus), and as we love him and respect him in this life , may Allah make us his companions in the Jannah , the paradise , and Allah said it best in the Quran:

The danger of disrespecting your parents

The Holy Prophet (S) said. “One who displeases the parents, (it is as if) he has displeased Allah. One who angers both his parents (it is as if) he has angered Allah.” Elsewhere, it is mentioned, “One who hurts his parents, hurts me and one who hurts me has hurt Allah. And the one who hurts Allah is accursed.” Āq al-Walidayn is Not Eligible For Divine Forgiveness The wretchedness of the Āq al-Walidayn is sufficiently evident from the fact that the trustworthy Jibrīl (a.s.) has cursed him and said, “One who is blessed with parents but does not fulfill their (his parent’s) rights will not be forgiven (his sins) by Allah.” 3 When Jibrīl (a.s.) said this, the Holy Prophet (S) uttered, ‘Amen’! DONT disrespect, shout, ignore, annoy, disobey, disregard, disturb our parents. They were looking after us when we were nothing but an easy prey to anything around. They were awake during the nights to make us sleep and feel us secured. We may not remember a thing in the childhoo

Medical, Scientific and religious Reasons for not Eating Pork:

People ask me all the time, Why don't you eat pork? ...Is it for  religious reasons? ...Are you vegetarian? Are you a Muslim or a Jew  ? Do you know that pork taste good ? Honestly, just today I was even asked for sound scientific evidence affirming the danger of eating pork. I will share a few findings with you. Medical and Scientific Reasons for not Eating Pork: This is a direct quote from "What the Bible Says About Healthy Eating" by Dr. Rex Russell. He attended Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, Texas and did his residency at the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minnesota. Let us watch this short video , let the conversation begin: "One reason for God's rule forbidding pork is that the digestive system of a pig is completely different from that of a cow. It is similar to ours, in that the stomach is very acidic. Pigs are gluttonous, never knowing when to stop eating. Their stomach acids become diluted because of the volume of food, allowing all kind

“And no bearer of burdens shall bear another’s burden”. (Quran 35:18)

The idea of Jesus dying on the cross is central to the Christian belief.  It represents the conviction that Jesus died for the sins of mankind.  The crucifixion of Jesus is a vital doctrine in Christianity; however Muslims reject it completely.  Before describing what Muslims believe about Jesus’ crucifixion, it may be useful to understand the Islamic reaction to the notion of original sin. When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree in paradise, they were not tempted by a serpent.  It was Satan who deceived and cajoled them, whereupon they exercised their free will and made an error in judgement.  Eve does not bear the burden of this mistake alone.  Together, Adam and Eve realised their disobedience, felt remorse and begged for God’s forgiveness.  God, in his infinite mercy and wisdom, forgave them.  Islam has no concept of original sin; each person bears responsibility for his own deeds. “And no bearer of burdens shall bear another’s burden”. (Quran 35:18) There is no need

THE DOCTRINE OF ORIGINAL SIN

Greetings of peace, This post is an answer to a new friend whom I recently met and respect , a devout Christian  passionate about sharing his religion with others , who challenged me to provide some proofs regarding why Muslims don't accept the doctrine of  original sin; a doctrine ( including the concept of trinity ) that  was  added by the Church at the Council of Nicaea some 325 years after Jesus left the earth.  Notice I say left the earth ( meaning resurected alive by Allah )  and not died yet or crucify as some claims ,  but that is a topic for another day. Back to the doctrine of original sin. Are we born with so called Original sin or born innocent ? Is a Newly Born Baby really a Sinner? Islam Challenges The Concept of Original Sin. Let us found out why ? let's take a look at the following passages from The Bible: (Deuteronomy 24:16)   “The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the father
