In response to the recent crime towards our beloved people of the book, sisters and brothers in humanity, the Council on American-Islamic Relations ( Cair ) issues the following statement: "We condemn the heinous attacks on churches in Egypt and Nigeria and repudiate the apparent motive of the perpetrators to harm long-term relations between Muslims and Christians. We offer sincere condolences to the loved ones of those killed or injured and call on authorities in both nations to bring the perpetrators to justice.
